One of my great friends since elementary school was in town from Florida and I was so happy that I got to see her and do a quick mini-session with her little girl. She's 14 months and on the move!
Isn't she beautiful?
So glad I got to see you guys- thanks for making the trip up!
It's been so much fun photographing this little guy as he's grown, and yesterday we got his whole family in on the action. We had a perfect summer evening (although the mosquitoes were a bit ferocious!).
Can't believe he's already 9 months!
Here's his big brother- love that hair!
The whole family!
Thanks for a fun evening, G Family!
We had a warm but beautiful evening when I met up with this fun family for their session. I was excited to try out a new location (just up the street from my new house) and they were the perfect models for it!
Love this sibling picture!
Finally, the "Fab Five" all together!
It was great seeing you all- all the best with your "new beginnings!"
This morning I met up with this handsome little guy and his family. He just turned two and was happy and full of energy for his photoshoot!
This one is a bit different from my usual style, but I just love it!
Thanks for a fun morning, H Family! Hope you like your sneak peek!
In 1978, my dad gave my mom a
hoya plant for her very first Mother's Day. Of course at the time, it was in bloom and did bloom one other time after that, but that was well over 20 years ago. My mom would often tell me how unique and beautiful the flowers were and was always hopeful for the plant to bloom... yet the blooms never came. Finally, in April of this year, she decided to give the plant one last chance at blooming. She read up on the best light and care and let us all know that if the plant did not bloom by Mother's Day this year, the plant would be "replaced." Guess what? Just before Mother's Day this year (April 20th), she called me up to tell me that she spied that start of one bloom. Soon, more starts began to appear and just recently, they have come out into a full bloom.
Here is a close-up of one of the first stages of the bloom...
then they form into these pink stars that eventually peel back to reveal...
the full bloom!
My mom gave me an off-shoot of her plant a while back... now the pressure's on to see if we can get it to bloom!
Last time I saw this handsome guy, he was a brand new baby. Now he's seven months old and full of personality! I had a great time capturing him and his family around their beautiful house and yard.
So good to see you guys again! Hope you like your sneak peek!
This little beauty is the brand new daughter of one of my good friends from college and I've been anxiously awaiting her arrival. I was so excited that I got to meet and photograph her on her 10th day of life!

Thanks for making the trek today Alison and Kevin- it was so good to see you and meet Gracie!
I haven't seen this little guy since his six month session last year and was so excited to do his one year portraits today. We had a beautiful Colorado morning!
So happy with mom...
and with dad!
J family, it was so great spending the morning with you. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend!
Several weeks ago, I was in search of a bunny hat for an upcoming newborn session I had. I quickly checked out
Etsy and came across this wonderful shop:
chicksalejunior. After asking them if they could make the hat with very short notice, they agreed. Later, I found out that they not only lived in my same city, but just up the street! Since then, we've had a wonderful partnership and they recently made these beautiful hats for my daughter to model. It gave me the perfect excuse to get out and take some much needed pictures of her!
We planned to do most of the photoshoot with this cutie outdoors; however, mother nature had some other plans. After a May snowstorm and then lots of rain, it cleared up just a bit for us to head outside....
Inside, he sat up perfectly to show off his "7 Month" shirt. In fact, he was so secure in sitting that he attempted to crawl away a couple of times!
I chose this blanket specifically for him... love how it brings out his beautiful blue eyes!
Thanks again- he was a pleasure to photograph as always!
Meet Grace- she's 12 days new and was an absolute dream to photograph. After taking a few weeks off while my husband was in the middle of his busiest time of year (he's a CPA), I was so excited to get back into photographing newborns with this beauty. We had fun a little photoshoot that focused on all things spring!
So precious with that cute little grin.
This is the cutest little Easter bunny I've ever seen! Thank you to
Chicksalejunior who made the adorable hat. They are a local small business who live just down the street from me- check out their items on Etsy.
I found this fun green rug with great texture in her nursery- it was perfect for a bright, spring-like picture!
She was such a great sleeper!
Love how tiny she looks in daddy's hands.
Thank you M family- it was so nice to meet you both and your perfect little bundle of joy!
